What’s The Longest Par 5 On PGA Tour?

The longest par 5 on the current PGA Tour season is the 18th hole at the Kapalua Plantation Course, which plays 677 yards from the tour tees.

The par 5 hole to finish plays downhill and doglegs to the left. Despite being the longest golf hole on the PGA Tour, many of the longer hitters can still get there in two shots because of the downhill severity.

Each year the Kapalua Plantation Course in Maui, Hawaii hosts the Sentry Tournament of Champions which includes all winners from the previous year and those that qualified for the Tour Championship.

The golf course itself is known for being great for low scoring and having some incredible views. The 18th on the Plantation Course is one of the best, most spectacular final holes on the PGA Tour, which brings drama to the event each season.

There’s been many memorable moments on this hole over the years from the likes of Tiger Woods and John Rahm, as well as this incredible eagle from Bubba Watson at the 2011 Tournament of Champions:

Another long par 5 which has played host to the PGA Tour in the past is the 16th hole on the South Course at Firestone Country Club. The longest hole on the course plays 667 yards and has a small pond in front of the green.

Although the golf course is no longer used on the PGA Tour, it was host to the WGC Bridgestone Invitational for 18 years and now hosts the Kaulig Companies Championship on the PGA Tour Champions.

The longest par 5 in professional golf actually comes on the Korn Ferry Tour, the tour one below the PGA Tour.

The 773 yards par 5 at TPC Colorado hosts the TPC Colorado Championship each season and is by far the longest hole played by the pros. At 773 yards from the back tee box, the 13th hole requires three good shots averaging at least 257 yards per hit.
