Welcome to The Weekly Slice.

Let’s talk golf.

Tour Roundup

DP World Tour

After a wet few days in Scotland, Matt Fitzpatrick managed to get the job done at St Andrews in the Alfred Dunhill Links.

Having just come off an incredible week at the Ryder Cup, Fitzpatrick finished three shots clear of fellow Englishman Marcus Armitage and Matthew Southgate.

He also managed to claim the team event alongside his mum Susan, becoming only the second player to win both the individual and team prizes.

This week the tour heads to Spain for the Acciona Open de España presented by Madrid, where home favourite Jon Rahm looks to defend his title.

PGA Tour

Last week on the PGA Tour, Luke List had to come through a five-man playoff to win the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Ryder Cup star Ludvig Åberg continued his amazing start to pro golf coming up just short in the playoff, losing to a birdie from List on the first playoff hole.

This week the tour heads to Nevada for the Shriners Children’s Open, where the young Swede will be hoping to claim his first PGA Tour victory.

The Shriners Children’s Open isn’t a bad place to get your first PGA Tour victory either…

This week also sees LPGA Tour star Lexi Thompson tee it up for the first time on the PGA Tour, making her only the seventh woman golfer to get an invite.
